Hekigetsu's waters are among the finest simple alkaline springs in Beppu. With a pH of 8.2, our mildly alkaline water is gentle on the skin and known as "beautifying waters." We deliver our abundant 68°C source water without any dilution or reheating.
Effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, cold sensitivity, and fatigue recovery. After bathing, your skin will feel silky smooth — a hallmark of Beppu's legendary hot springs.
Our spacious main bath is filled generously with Beppu's source water. Relax to your heart's content in our cypress and stone bathing pool.

Gaze out at the Japanese garden through large windows and savor the luxurious pleasure of cooling down after a hot spring bath. Massage chairs are also available for your use.
Beppu Onsen boasts the most hot spring sources and the highest volume of spring water in all of Japan. Referenced in the ancient Man'yoshu poetry anthology, Beppu has over a thousand years of bathing culture.
