Q. When can I make a reservation?
Reservations open 6 months before your intended stay date. You can book by phone or through our website.
Q. What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation fees apply as follows: 7 days before: 20%, 3 days before: 50%, day before: 80%, same day or no-show: 100%.
Q. Can I modify my reservation?
Changes can be made free of charge up to 3 days before your stay. Please contact us by phone.
Q. Which credit cards are accepted?
We accept VISA, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, and Diners.
Q. What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out is at 11:00. Times may vary depending on the plan.
Q. Can children stay at the inn?
Children aged 6 and above (elementary school age) are welcome. Children's futon and meals are available. For younger children, please inquire.
Q. Is Wi-Fi available in the rooms?
Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms and common areas. The password will be provided at check-in.
Q. Do rooms have private open-air baths?
Yes, all rooms — Aoi no Ma, Tsuki no Ma, and Yu no Ma — feature private open-air baths fed by Beppu's natural hot spring source.
Q. Is the inn non-smoking?
All rooms are non-smoking. A designated smoking area is available within the inn.
Q. What amenities are provided?
We provide towels, toothbrushes, yukata robes, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, toner, moisturizer, and hair dryer.
Q. Are there barrier-free accessible rooms?
We do not currently have dedicated barrier-free rooms, but we will assist you to the best of our ability. Please contact us in advance.
Q. Is day-use bathing available?
We apologize, but day-use bathing is not available. Our baths are exclusively for overnight guests.
Q. Can I bathe if I have tattoos?
Tattoo cover stickers are available for the main and open-air baths. Alternatively, all rooms feature private open-air baths that you may use freely.
Q. How do I reserve the private bath?
Reservations can be made at the front desk upon check-in. Each session is 50 minutes for ¥3,300 (tax included). Premium plan guests receive one free session.
Q. What is the spring water quality?
Simple hot spring (mildly alkaline, low mineral, high temperature). pH 8.2, source temperature 68°C. Effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, cold sensitivity, and fatigue recovery.
Q. Is there a sauna?
A dry sauna and cold plunge pool are available in the main bath area. Operating hours are the same as the main bath: 6:00–24:00.
Q. Can you accommodate food allergies?
If you let us know in advance, we can accommodate food allergies to the extent possible. Please inform us when making your reservation.
Q. Can I choose my meal times?
Dinner starts at either 18:00 or 19:00, and breakfast at either 7:30 or 8:30. Please let us know your preference at check-in.
Q. Is in-room dining available?
In-room dinner service is available for Aoi no Ma and Tsuki no Ma guests. Please request this at the time of booking (additional charges may apply).
Q. Is there a children's menu?
We offer a children's kaiseki for elementary school-age children and a children's plate for younger ones.
Q. Are room-only plans available?
Currently, we offer only plans with dinner and breakfast included. Our cuisine is an integral part of the Hekigetsu experience.
Q. Is there a shuttle from the nearest station?
We offer a free shuttle service from JR Beppu Station. Pick-up: 14:00–18:00, drop-off: 8:00–11:00. Please reserve by phone at least one day before your stay.
Q. Is parking available?
Free parking is available for 20 vehicles. Large vehicles and microbuses can be accommodated. Please contact us in advance.
Q. How do I get here from the airport?
Take the Airliner Bus from Oita Airport to Beppu Kitahama Bus Stop (approx. 45 min). From there, take a taxi (approx. 5 min) or call us for pick-up.
Q. How far in advance should I book the shuttle?
Please request shuttle service by phone at least one day before your stay. Same-day requests may be accommodated if availability permits.
Q. How long does a taxi take?
Approx. 10 minutes from JR Beppu Station (about ¥1,500), or approx. 5 minutes from Beppu Kitahama Bus Stop (about ¥800).
Q. Are pets allowed?
We apologize, but pets are not permitted. We can recommend nearby pet hotels.
Q. Can you arrange anniversary surprises?
For birthdays, wedding anniversaries, and other celebrations, we can prepare a special cake and flower arrangement. Please let us know when booking.
Q. What are some nearby sightseeing spots?
Beppu Jigoku Meguri (approx. 15 min by car), Takasakiyama Natural Zoo (approx. 20 min), and Kijima Kogen Park (approx. 25 min). Sightseeing maps are available at the front desk.
Q. What souvenirs are available at the gift shop?
We carry Oita and Beppu confections (Zabieru, Yaseuma, etc.), local sake, and Hekigetsu original bath salts and aroma oils.
